The final vocational assignment of Sophomore year: design a visual identity for fictional botanical garden.

Students were given a week to research and sketch in a local botanical garden. During the following week, they were to design a set of five logos–four symbols for four aspects of their fictional botanical garden and one logotype for the garden itself. Lastly, they were to showcase the utilization of their visual identity (e.g. on informational boards).

I first constructed a story of origin for my fictional garden. Inspired by real historical events, the project exists in a parallel universe where the famous summer castle "Star” (Bílá hora, Prague) succumbed to WWII bombing. Eventually, the city built a pentagonal botanical garden in place of the castle ruins.

The visual identity expands upon the pentagonal shape of the dome and its spiraling path.
The committee rated the project with 15/15 achievable points.
